One-Line Bio

Someone who wants you to know just how much you matter to God.

Biography

Being the mother to two awesome young adults, Alana, 23 & Michael 20 is definitely the most important role that I have experienced. I have been married 24 years to a wonderful man, Mike, who accepts whatever I might come up with next.

I have always been a lover of all sports, especially growing up in Cincinnati when the Big Red Machine was at their best. I discovered that I was an artist when I was 39 years old, with my last art class being 6th grade art. My passion for making art led me to become an arts advocate, serving on the board of the local arts commission for the past 6 years.

The biggest tomboy growing up, ironically my first job was a cosmetic consultant for Merle Norman Cosmetics. I was a traveling make-up artist for a large international cosmetic company until my marriage.

While our children were small, a daily favorite place to visit was the local children's science museum, where I joined the staff as museum educator. As the museum grew into a regional science center, and my children grew, I accepted more responsibility as the Director of Programs, thinking that I finally found the perfect fit.

Believing that my passion for science education could never be surpassed, I discovered that my passion for seeing people come into a relationship with Jesus Christ far surpasses anything else that I have experienced.

Always feeling like I am made from spare parts, with so many interests which seemingly don't fit together; I know that I have finally found my calling, using the mixed-bag of interests, gifts and passions to help people understand how much they matter to God. I served New Horizon Church for 4-1/2 years as Pastor of Operations before serving in my current role as Community Pastor, leading an awesome group of passionate people-people.
