Where to begin Leah??? LOL I wish I still had my little speech from last fall, I would share it. Don't worry Beth, I have a copy right here.
I was invited by my daughters to check out New Horizon. I was hooked the first time I attended. The funny part is I said I would never attend a large church and God showed me he was in control. I have met some wonderful people through New Horizon. I also have acknowledged that we are saved by the Grace of God and that he loves us unconditionally. I have learned that we encounter God and engage in community. I love helping those in need.
I attended on an Easter Sunday almost 4 years ago. I was all dressed up and soooo out of place. It didn't matter because as soon as I walked in the door, I knew that FINALLY this is where God wanted me to be!
My first visit to NHC was awesome. I was churchless. A member there kept inviting me , so I finally came. My life has been changed in so many ways. I have grown spiritually, educationally and so many other ways. What really stand out for me is the fact that I've learned to Pray without fear. I have a lot more confidence than I ever had, and most of all I love doing a good work for God. Never did it before. I'm so glad to be a member of this church. Let's not forget..I'm very comfortable Tithing. Try it, it works. Worship is a Lifestyle!
I got baptized at NHC on August 9, 2008 and it was the best move of my life! Pastor Dave Bowman rocks and his message is always on point! I was lost but now I am found. Thank you NHC for showing me the right way to lead my life through the one and only Jesus Christ! I have been working with the Spiked Ministry Group at NHC and love my part in helping out the kids of our future! Hey involved is all I can say! It will change your whole life perspective! If you're still living it's not to late to make a change and commitment to God! It is a true blessing to be a part of NHC and I thank every day I am alive to he apart of it! Forever God's child.
