Tonight was too awesome! We offered Finding Financial Freedom in two formats tonight...on-site and on-line...simultaneously! Thirty four people signed up for the on-site class and 9 were scheduled to join us for the Webinar. I always plan for 100% participation in this class, as we have offered it 7 times now and always have 100% participation...until tonight. forty five people showed up for the on-site class (we had to share materials) and fourteen joined us on-line...133% participation! Woo hoo and the energy was awesome with lots of participation and questions...a facilitator's dream. Several folks signed up to connect with one of our encouraging Finding Financial Freedom coaches. Our coaches have been in their shoes and have discovered financial freedom through a God-honoring life-style.
While I was already on cloud nine, it's what happened immediately following the class that's fueling my excitement! I was talking with several attendees following the class, I noticed two ladies, appearing to be good friends standing off to the side waiting to talk to me. I knew one of the ladies, Rita, a regular attender. She approached me and introduced me to Gina. When I asked Rita and Gina how long they had been friends, they both looked at me funny and said, "Oh, about, what, 4 or 5 hours?" I know the look on my face told them to explain further, as Gina continued with the story, "I thought Rita's house was for sale, so I went to her door to ask her about it." Rita added, "We just started talking and we ended up talking about finances. I told her that I was getting ready to go to my church for a Financial Freedom class and that she should come." Gina, who currently does not attend church, took Rita up on her offer and came to Finding Financial Freedom. I'm still stunned. A lady mistakingly shows up at a stranger's house, connects with her through a conversation about money and gets invited immediately to a free Biblically based financial seminar, packed full of resources. Not to mention that she connected with other NHC'ers and two staff, all inviting her to come this weekend. One of her objections was that health issues prevented her from moving around early on Sunday. To which we, almost cheering, told her about our Saturday night service. Gina's reply, "Perfect!" Gina, you took the words right out of my mouth...perfect!
